The history book was originally an article of about 4 pages or so. The update started during the lockdown of covid when suddenly I had more time, but it took considerable effort in doing online research and then cross checking with various other websites, etc.
Many of the information also comes from Newspaper clippings I have – most primarily from the Cape Town area. I was also fortunate to receive 4 scrapbooks of newspaper cuttings from the sixties – these were primarily from the then Natal, Transvaal and Free State.
BUT, the brunt of verification was in conversations with various Martial Artist – some in the past, some of the few pioneers still alive and some who passed after much discussion with them. Special thanks and acknowledgements therefore to:
